SPRING 2021 HEALTH CHALLENGE

It has been a very challenging year for all of us staying on our toes adjusting to constant changes, adjustments, and routines to try to keep some normalcy while adjusting to life during a pandemic. We understand and also feel the physical, mental (and for many of us financial) impact this has had on many of you, including not being around friends and family, trying to stay active in different ways, and a long term mix to our routines. For all these reasons, we are pulling together, along with some amazing sponsors, to bring you support and motivation to take that next step for your health.

For the months of May and June, we invite you to join our "whole health" challenge. This is not your typical "lets see who can lose the most weight" or "do the most workouts"....this is focused entirely on self care and paying attention to what your body and mind NEED. That is a very individual and personalized thing, that only you have control of knowing.

 

Whole body health includes the body, mind, and soul... and a balance between these all is what creates the happiest and healthiest version of you. This does not necessarily mean working out 7 days a week! It means making a conscience effort to listen to your body, and do (daily) what it needs to uplift yourself! Some days that is resting. Others a workout. Meditation. Yoga. Solid sweat. Walk. Something!

Our goal is to assist and motivate you into developing a new routine centered on you. Whether you need to get the body moving more to feel those physical and mental benefits, or for some of you focusing on taking care of pain or tension and managing stress by slowing down, and doing yoga and meditation to connect better and give yourself space. Whatever it is you need...a good sweat, some strength training, yoga and meditation, or just the accountability...we got you covered.

We have created two packages (see below) to accommodate various ways to reach your goal of moving, including:

Fitness Classes, Spin & Boxing:

Whether you attend our fitness classes once a week (or more) we ensure you get full body, balanced workouts to address general muscle strength as well as the small muscle groups! It is very important to us that you are not always completing the same exercises and working the same muscle groups over and over, so we keep our classes fresh and make sure the whole body and all its stabilizers are putting in the work. New to fitness? Technique and education about form are SO IMPORTANT, so no worry, that's the benefit of having a fitness pro at your finger tips both in studio and on Zoom. Our fitness classes include Strength & Cardio workouts, HIIT, Spin, or some Boxing (to deal with some built up tension), and more!

Yoga:

Yoga is for absolutely everyone. It isn't perfect poses, headstands, and chanting like you sometimes see portrayed in media. It is simply disconnecting from the pressures and constant feedback from our day, and just stopping to notice the breath, find and take care of tension and stress throughout the body, and learning to benefits and comfort that exists in stillness and the present moment. In each class you should show up for yourself, let the ego go, hold no expectations of yourself, and let your mind and body guide you. Yoga has an endless list of benefits, from improving your breath, healing pain and tension, improving mental health, being able to concentrate better, relaxing, destressing, and more! Everyone can benefit from the good stretch you get from yoga!

For some of you, coming in studio may be what you are wanting for a change of scenery, some alone time, and energy from other people. For others, the convenience and comfort of training or practicing at home, or having your littles join in with you. Either way we have you covered!

~ You will get full access to our online Video on Demand library full of pre-recorded workout and yoga videos (using minimal equipment) for all levels to follow along

How do I enter this challenge?

Due to COVID restrictions (and the incredible deal we are offering) we are only taking a limited number of applicants! We want to ensure that everyone is able to use all their in studio sessions, and they are on a first come first serve basis with our online booking. In the event that a class is full or you just cant sneak out of your house, rest assured you can still attend any of the ZOOM classes.

 

We ask you please indicate your preference of class time you wish to attend for "In Studio" classes as well as Open Gym. For anyone applying for the Home/Zoom package, you will be able to get into any Zoom classes (as we don't need to set such tight restrictions), however we do ask you indicate any Open Gym days and times you hope to attend.
